The Goods: Bookish finds

These past couple of weeks, a few bookish discoveries have hit my radar, and I figured I’d share them with you!

I think this idea is ALL kinds of awesome. Basically if you order a U*Novel, you are ordering a book with your name and/or the names of your friends as the characters. Make your favorite OTP consist of YOU (and/or a specimen of your choosing). These take you one step closer to living inside the book. Also, if you’re looking for a gift for a bookish friend, this should do nicely, especially if you know a favorite book of theirs.

I found out about U*Novels through Carrie Hope Fletcher‘s YouTube video.

While I think that Audible is a great audiobooks source, Ambling Books makes some classic books available FO FREE on audio. In their library are MANY books in the public domain, recorded through the LibriVox project with volunteers, so it’s on the up and up.

They have a free phone app and everything and since one of my new year’s resolutions was to read more classics, I was PLEASED AS PUNCH to find out about this. I’m already listening to Persuasion by Jane Austen.

I think that I stumbled across this while looking at other posts from Jamie‘s End of the Year Book Survey, but I honestly can’t remember who posted about it. If it was you, I’m sorry! I’ll happily give you credit if you tell me who you are!

A candle with a book quote on it is bookish enough, you’re probably thinking. But there is more to this one than meets the eye. All of you who claim that you can’t get enough of the scent of old books– (I’ve got nothing against the smell except that it makes me sneeze) pay attention.

Because this candle is paper-scented.

That’s it for this time! Any cool bookish finds pop up on your radar recently?
