Good morning!

The morning of WriteOnCon 2012 has dawned. And yes… yes I am participating. I really have no excuse not to since I’ve fallen dreadfully behind in Camp NaNoWriMo. I’ve been semi-lurking through the forums (my username is jbaggiero if you want to add me as a friend!) and posted the first 250 words of my Work in Progress. I plan to post my first 5 pages later today, so I’ll edit this post to include a link when that’s done. If you have any constructive criticism, I’d find it extremely helpful.

You can’t beat this conference within the KidLit world. Anyone with an internet connection can attend, it’s totally free, and has a ton of really valuable information.

The events that I’m particularly looking forward to include:

Tuesday:
8:00 AM: Choosing the Right Critique Partners by bestselling author Leigh Bardugo
11:00 AM: Revision Toolbox by the YA Muses
2:00 PM: Author Denise Jaden and literary agent Michelle Humphrey talk about the agent/author relationship. LIVE EVENT

I probably won’t be able to physically be at my desk for all of these, but I intend to a least review the recaps for all of the ones that I can’t be “present” for. Ah, the beauty of an online conference.

Keep an eye out for me around the site and best of luck to everyone whether you’re trying to learn, improve a current work, or catch an agent’s eye!
