Would You Rather YA Wednesday requires a choice be made when a WOULD YOU RATHER question related to YA Lit is asked. From squick to swoon, the questions could be about anything as long as they involve books from the YA genre.
This week:
WOULD YOU RATHER have Ella’s enchanted book or Cinder’s built-in lie detector?
Easy for me. Ella’s book, no question.
This is largely because I don’t think I’d want Cinder’s lie detector. Not that her lie detector isn’t all kinds of bad-ass, but people… human beings, as a species tend to lie a lot. I think I’d find knowing exactly HOW MUCH everyone is lying rather disheartening. Basically, I’m in the ‘ignorance is bliss’ camp.
Plus, it’s certainly no trouble to me to have an enchanted book on hand. Sort of sounds like my Kindle combined with some smartphone apps. Except you don’t have to CHARGE it!

Lie detector, easy. I always want to know!
Firstly, yay Cinderella edition! Love both of these books!
Secondly, I would have to go with Ella’s book. It’s an enchanted book, after all! And yeah, I think having a lie detector would just drive me crazy if I knew (for sure) that people weren’t telling the truth. It would make life even more awkward >_<
