Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser:
“In choir group, I picked up four new songs– “Who Wants to Be Happy,” “Happy Time Starts RIght Now,” “Everything About You Is Totally Perfect,” and “Your Name Is Spelled Like ‘Special (Only with Different Letters)”–and got to do a big tambourine solo, which I rocked. Daniel and Ruth took me to the CESSNAB video gaming center where we played Extreme Self-esteem Builder! and How Awesome Are You?”

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. It’s a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers while simultaneously enjoying the fun of a list! And what’s more, a list about BOOKS! What could be better?
This week’s list is: Top Ten Books I Want To Reread
1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- I have only read this book once. It is not enough.
2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins– I absolutely love this series and definitely want to reread at least the first book before the movie comes out!
3. This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen- The first Sarah Dessen book that I ever read and a long-time favorite
4. Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin- I have read this book a few times and seen the movie. It never fails to make me cry.
5. Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie- This is one of those books that renews my faith in romance. I’ve reread it countless times
6. Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine- My copy of this book is beyond dog-eared because I love to reread it over and over again.
7. The Giver by Lois Lowry- One of my favorite books and a dystopian to boot, but it’s been so long since I read it that I can’t remember a ton about it.
8. The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan- This is a series that I really really enjoyed, and with Riordan’s The Son of Neptune releasing soon, I’d love to relive Percy Jackson’s earlier years!
9. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling- I really want to do another series reread soon. Who could ever get tired of reading about Harry?
10. Heist Society by Ally Carter- I just read this book a couple of months ago by enjoyed the capers so much that I want to experience it all over again!
What’s your Top Ten this week?

I remember not wanting to return Ella Enchanted to the library until they told my mother about it and she made me give it back. (Thank goodness that school didn’t have fines!) I think I read it back to back like 3 times. I wonder if I would still enjoy it as much.
I almost picked up Heist Society while I was at the library today for a reread! Instead I rec’d it to an early teen girl who was looking for a book so I feel good about that even if I don’t get a reread. And I really want to reread PJ:O and The Lost Hero before Son of Neptune comes out, but I think I might’ve waited a bit too late at this point…
My Top Ten list is over here if you’d like to stop by!
Ella Enchanted is one of my all-time favorite reads! It’s one of the few books I read in a day. I just couldn’t put it down. I even read it at the dinner table!
I’ve only read the first book in Riordan’s series, but I want to read them all some day soon. I’m a huge fan of Greek mythology. His Egyptian series also sounds great.
Would definitely like to reread the entire Harry Potter series one right after the other. I read them as they came out and would just like to spend a couple weeks getting lost in the world of Hogworts.
HERE‘s mine. :)
Oh, I’ve seen that one around before! I love the cover of it… Good teaser. :)
My teaser is from a book I absolutely loved; Divergent! Click to be teased!
Great teaser! I haven’t had the chance to read this one yet, but it’s definitely being moved up on my TBR list! Thank you for sharing! :)

I’d re-read quite a few books on your list here .. though, I can’t say I was particularly fond of Anna and the French Kiss, but I feel I’m the only one.
I have The Giver on my TBR list, I’ll have to look into it sooner than later ;)
Interesting cover and teaser!

Great list Jen! I re-read The Giver this summer and to be honest didn’t enjoy it AS MUCH as when I was younger… But definitely still understand the appeal. It was the beginning of a great genre of books. Also, I’m excited to hear your thoughts on Going Bovine! I read that a year or two ago when it came out & was… so/so on it. I’m still not a huge Libba Bray fan but I feel like I need to give her another shot. I also re-read Hunger Games & Catching Fire right before Mockingjay came out last summer and if possible, they were even BETTER the second time around!!
I’ve heard Ella Enchanted the book is way different from the movie so I’ve been wanting to read it. Bet Me sounds interesting especially with your comments!
First trip to your blog and enjoying it! Following so I can keep reading :)
Sarah Dessen! Dexter and Remy are the sweetest couple. I’m especially in love with Dexter’s humor. After my best friend and I read that book we thought we’d start up an inside joke with ‘Hate Spinnerbait’. Needless to say Sarah Dessen is one of my favorite authors!

I absolutely adore The Harry Potter series, the Percy Jackson series and The Hunger Games trilogy. All the books are worth a reread, to be sure! :)
